Our leveling feet for 95 mm rails are designed for the construction of rail assemblies located on hard surfaces. They attach to the inner M6 taps on the end of a standard XT95 rail using standard cap screws and consist of a durable anodized aluminum plate attached to a stainless steel swivel pad. The distance between the swivel pad and the plate is continuously adjustable through a 30 mm (1.18") range and can be fixed by tightening down a 3/4" hex locking nut once the desired height is set. Each foot is capable of supporting 500 lbs (226 kg).
Thorlabs' product family for 95 mm rails includes angle adapters, leveling feet, and breadboard mounting adapters. In addition, we manufacture mounting platforms and T-Nuts that provide compatibility with standard optomechanics. Together with size adapters that incorporate 66 mm rails into an XT95 setup, these tools provide a complete family of rigid, versatile building blocks suited for virtually any optomechanical setup.

Our Single and Dual Vertical Leveling Feet contain four counterbored holes that are positioned to attach the foot to the inner M6 taps on the end of a standard 95 mm rail. They also contain a centered, Ø2.83" (Ø71.9 mm) clear aperture that leaves the entire interior of the rail unobstructed. By rotating the stainless steel swivel pad at the bottom, the height of the part is adjustable through a 30 mm (1.18") range. The durable swivel pad provides stable contact with the surface the foot is resting on, even if the surface is angled. Four M6 cap screws and a 5 mm hex key are included with each foot.
To prevent wobbling instabilities, we recommend that the rail assembly be designed with three points of contact against the mounting surface, as shown to the right. For example, to mount a single base rail parallel to the surface, choose one XT95P5 single foot and one XT95P6 dual foot.
