Thorlabs' angle adapters for 95 mm rails are fundamental building blocks of two- and three-dimensional rail constructions.
Five-Way Corner Cube
The XT95C1 Five-Way Corner Cube tightens into the M6-tapped holes in the ends of a standard 95 mm rail and orients up to five standard rails at right angles. Each face of the cube contains a large clear aperture that allows the entire rail interior to be used as a beam path.
In order to install rails on adjacent faces of the corner cube, we recommend using our SH6M10LP Low-Profile Channel Screws. The reduced cap height of these screws prevents neighboring screws from interfering with each other.
Construction Clamp
The XT95P13(/M) Rail Construction Clamp allows a 95 mm rail to be mounted horizontally to an optical table or at a right angle on the end of another rail. The clamp can be attached directly to a breadboard surface or rail end using a 1/4"-20 (M6) cap screw in each of the four counterbored slots.
Pivot Support
Our XT95P4 Pivot Support is a heavy-duty joint that connects two rails while providing up to ±90° of variable rotation. Once the rails are at their desired angle, they are fixed in place using a hex wrench.
Thorlabs' product family for 95 mm rails includes angle adapters, leveling feet, and breadboard mounting adapters. In addition, we manufacture mounting platforms and T-Nuts that provide compatibility with standard optomechanics. The XT95C1 Five-Way Corner Cube secures rails end to end or at right angles. The five mounting faces of the cube contain a centered, Ø2.83" (Ø71.9 mm) clear aperture that leaves the entire rail interior unobstructed. Each face also has four through holes that are positioned to align with the inner M6-tapped holes on the end of a standard 95 mm rail. The cube is machined from a single block of aluminum to ensure the perpendicularity and parallelism of the five mounting surfaces.
Please note that the caps of standard M6 cap screws will interfere with each other when installed in neighboring faces of the cube, preventing the rails from being fastened down. We therefore recommend the use of our SH6M10LP Low-Profile Channel Screws, sold below, which feature a shortened cap height.

This 95 mm Rail Construction Clamp allows a 95 mm rail to be mounted horizontally to an optical table. The clamp can be attached directly to a breadboard surface via 1/4"-20 (M6) cap screws in the four counterbored slots. Once the clamp is in the desired location, a 95 mm rail can be inserted in the clamp and secured by tightening the locking cap screw on the side of the clamp. Note that the mounting slots are not accessible while a rail is in the clamp.
It is also possible to mount the clamp to the end of a 95 mm rail using the rail’s M6 tapped holes, as shown in the image to the far right. In this orientation, the clamp is free to secure another 95 mm rail at a right angle. When mounted on the end of a 95 mm Precision Construction Rail, a set of Ø3.0 mm dowel pin holes can be used to aid in aligning the clamp on the rail (dowel pins not included).
For more flexible breadboard mounting, the clamp is designed for compatibility with the LT101(/M) base plate. The LT101 used in conjunction with the XT95P13(/M) enables the user to reposition the assembly without having to remove the rail from the clamp. This is becasue the LT101 design provides free access to the mounting screws, as shown in the image above. Both the LT101 base plate and the XT95P13 rail clamp have matching Ø0.125" alignment holes for dowel pins (not included) to help ensure that they are orthogonal.

The XT95P4 Pivot Support is a heavy-duty joint that offers ±90° of variable rotation. It is ideally used to construct large-scale, non-rectangular structures. Once the attached rails have been set to the desired angle, tightening the side-mounted 3/4" bolt and nut combination locks the joint in place.
Each side of the joint contains four through holes at the corners, positioned to fasten the joint to the XT95P3 Base Plate or the outer M6 taps on the end of a standard 95 mm rail. The XT95P4 also features four M6 taps on each side that enable mechanical compatibility with the XT95P11(/M) Rail Carriage sold above. The combination of the pivot support and rail carriage, shown to the right, allows two 95 mm rails to be mounted at an arbitrary angle starting anywhere along the base rail.

Our low-profile screws feature a shorter cap height than standard M6 cap screws. They are required to fasten an XT95C1 Five-Way Corner Cube to a 95 mm rail when two rails are being mounted at a right angle because their reduced cap height prevents neighboring screws from interfering with each other.
