These accessories enable vertical mounting of optical rails with 50 mm or 75 mm sides. The right-angle brackets can be used as rail corner mounts or for direct mounting to our breadboards and optical tables. Our mounting footplates attach directly to the ends of optical construction rails.
Thorlabs' accessories for assemblies made of 50 mm or 75 mm rails include T-nuts, low-profile channel screws, rail joiners, and a plastic channel insert for use as a dust cover, panel holder, or cable router.

The XE50A90 and XE75A90 Right-Angle Brackets can be used to fasten 50 mm and 75 mm rails, respectively, to each other or to an optical table. Each bracket can be secured to an optical rail by screwing it to T-nuts (not included) inserted into the rail channels. The XE50A90 and XE75A90 brackets have two slots on each leg with 0.99" (25.2 mm) or 1.98" (50.4 mm) spacing, respectively, for compatibility with either imperial or metric breadboards. Either the XE50A90 or the XE75A90 bracket may be used with our 50 mm x 75 mm rails, depending on which side of the rail(s) the bracket is attached to.

These footplates provide adjustable-height (47 mm to 70 mm) vertical mounting of rail assemblies or enclosures. Each plastic foot is affixed to a bolt that has 14 mm hex flats. When the desired height is achieved, tightening the 19 mm lock nut against the mounting plate secures the bolt's position, as illustrated in the first photo to the right. Each footplate includes four low-profile 1/4"-20 (M6 x 1.0) cap screws.
